Cavalia

CAVALIA ARRIVES IN DOWNTOWN BURBANK
Cavalia, a magical encounter between horse and human, is a grand-scale spectacle created by Normand Latourelle, one of the founders of Canada’s famed Cirque du Soleil. Cavalia returns to Los Angeles on January 19, 2011, under the White Big Top in Downtown Burbank at 777 North Front Street. Cavalia visited Los Angeles for the first time in 2004 where it played to sold-out houses. Constantly evolving, the current production is nearly double in size from the original, and showcases new artists, new horses, and entirely new acts. Since the original production debuted in 2003 in Quebec, Canada, Cavalia has been enjoyed by more than 2.5 million people in North America and Europe. A tribute to the bond between horse and human, the show is a unique combination of equestrian arts, multimedia, dramatic visual effects, live music, dance and acrobatics. It involves 50 magnificent horses from all over the world and 33 performers, including riders, aerialists, acrobats, dancers, musicians and a vocalist.

Cavalia is presented under the largest touring big top in North America, a structure rising 100 feet above the ground. The audience faces an enormous 160 foot-wide stage, which allows the horses enough space to gallop and play with the artists, at times completely free, unfettered by bridles or halters. Cavalia’s creator used cutting-edge technology to create a larger-than-life fairytale and propel the equestrian arts into the 21st Century.

TICKETS
Regular tickets range from $69.00 - $139.00. For guests desiring an extraordinary outing, the show can be customized for an ultimate experience from $159.00 - $219.00, including a Horse Lovers Package that lets patrons tour Cavalia’s stables after the show, and the VIP Rendez-Vous Package that includes a tour of the stables after the show, a cocktail/dinner reception before the show begins and during intermission, and a Cavalia gift. Prices do not include service fees. Special pricing is also available for children (2-12), juniors (13-17), and senior citizens (65+).
