Egg-cellent Magnolia Bicycle Tour

Take a spin and self guided treasure hunt through the neighborhood, participate in a bicycle and helmet decorating contest, enjoy free bicycle tune-ups courtesy of the Burbank Recycle Center, lean road safety tips from Burbank Bike and join in free arts & crafts activities.

Register and pick up your treasure hunt map at Chandler Bikeway and California Street, then get stamped at ten locations to be automatically entered to win incredible grand prizes from Magnolia Park merchants (drawing at 7:00 p.m. - winners need not to be present)

12 Days of Holiday Cheer

Join us for the biggest celebration of the year…12 days & nights starting December 1 – December 12 filled with holiday events, music and treats! Presented by Downtown Burbank Partnership, City of Burbank, Burbank Town Center, Burbank Community YMCA and Radio Disney.
Tuesday, December 1
Opening Celebration • 6-8:30pm

Downtown Burbank’s most joyful celebration kicks-off December 1 with the Mayor’s Tree Lighting Ceremony hosted by Radio Disney's Ernie D and a concert by Radio Disney N.B.T. (Next Big Thing) artist Cymphonique, followed by pop recording artist J*Smith from the hit movie Twilight. Then, for the next 12 days, Downtown Burbank will be filled with free family events, music and treats.

The Mayor’s Tree Lighting Ceremony Tuesday, December 1 in front of Burbank City Hall starts at 6:00 P.M. with City Council, Santa and Mrs. Claus, the Burbank Chorale, special guests and Radio Disney’s on-air personality Ernie D as emcee. After Santa arrives and the tree is lit, it’s off to Santa’s Downtown Wonderland on San Fernando Boulevard between Orange Grove and Magnolia.

There, the Radio Disney Los Angeles AM 1110 Road Crew will get everyone in the holiday spirit with music, fun and games starting at 6:30 P.M. followed by a free concert by Cymphonique, N.B.T. artist and the voice of Gretchen on Disney Channel’s animated series Phineas and Ferb. Her performance will be followed by a concert of holiday tunes by pop recording artist J*Smith, featured on 750 Clear Channel stations across the country with a myspace fanbase of nearly 2.5 million.

Also at Santa’s Downtown Wonderland will be free photos with Santa on the AMC Walkway (bring a camera!), children’s characters, face painting, free gifts and more. To benefit a needy child, attendees are asked to bring a new unwrapped gift for the Burbank Fire Department’s Spark of Love Toy Drive. Magnolia Park - Holiday in the Park


Magnolia Park Partnership is pleased to present Holiday in the Park, a progressive party and district-wide open house that meanders from store-to-store and covers a 16-block area along Magnolia Boulevard between Buena Vista and Pass Avenue and on Hollywood Way between Chandler and Clark in Burbank. It all happens Friday, November 20 from 5:30 P.M. to 9:30 P.M. Holiday in the Park is free and open to the public.

The party Includes more than 100 shops and restaurants and attracts thousands of revelers. Now in its 20th year, this neighborhood classic is a feast for the senses with scores of in-store events, free gifts, tantalizing treats and street caroling on every block.

In addition to the store-to-store entertainment, there will be six Fun Zones along Magnolia Boulevard including
§ Main Stage with free community performances all evening at Lima Street
§ Story Telling Corner with readings by professional storytellers courtesy of Burbank Public Library at Niagara Street
§ Free photos with Santa at Fairview Street
§ Community Fun with Fire and Police Department vehicles and more at Avon Street
§ Holiday Food & Fun with cookie decorating courtesy of Porto’s Bakery and other activities at Cordova Street
§ A Kidszone where kids can learn circus treats, see stilt walkers and interact with holiday characters at Screenland Drive.

Always a big hit are the many open houses hosted by shops and eateries. Attendees are invited to wander from store to store, or they can participate in the treasure hunt that is outlined in the special Holiday in the Park Passport. Featuring nearly 50 enticing events happening at Magnolia Park businesses, all the participant needs to do is be stamped at 15 locations in order to be eligible for grand prizes. During the evening, everyone is invited to listen to live music, watch ice sculptors at work, experience roving entertainment, sample refreshments and ride the free London open-top double-decker buses that connect all of the activities.

Holiday in the Park is presented by the Magnolia Park Partnership, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the Magnolia Park district. Magnolia Park includes an established residential community of 3,000 homes and hundreds of neighborhood businesses on Magnolia Boulevard between Buena Vista and the city limit, and Hollywood Way between Clark and Chandler. Other activities produced by the partnership include Be-Boppin’ in the Park in August, and the Magical Magnolia Bicycle Tour in May.
