On Thursday, May 28, the City of Burbank hosted a landmark economic summit geared to the Burbank business community called “Navigating Today, Innovating Tomorrow.” Presented in partnership with the Burbank Chamber of Commerce and Woodbury University. Topics reflected the business profile of Burbank and included emerging technology, finance, healthcare, media and entertainment.

The keynote speaker was the inspiring author and futurist Dr. James Canton, who electrified the room with his predictions about what we can expect in terms of trends in the coming years. The business panelists including Lisa Rawlins (Warner Bros), Don St. Clair (Woodbury University), Kevin McCarney (Poquito Mas), and facilitator Greg Bowman ( BUSD) discussed the future economic climates for their organizations.

If you attended the summit, we'd love to hear your feedback. If you couldn't make it but are interested in such programs, please offer us suggestions of your own for helping to keep Burbank at the forefront of economic innovation.

  1. When will Dr Burbank find his way to his new home? Most of the public does not even know he is in town to stay this time.
    Thanks,
    Burbank business owner
